Save customers and items
Create customers and items once, edit them and reuse them in the editor, one by one or imported from a CSV file.
Create and edit customers
- Open Customers and choose New customer.
- Enter the name, the address and, if there is one, the VAT ID.
- Under Sending, choose whether the invoice goes by e-mail or you send it yourself.
- If you like, set Defaults for new invoices, for example payment days or an order number.
- Choose Save customer.
To edit a customer, open it in the list. Each customer shows its revenue and open amount (net). Delete customer removes only the saved customer; issued invoices stay unchanged.
Check a VAT ID
On a customer's page, Check VAT ID at VIES asks the EU register VIES. You see whether the number is valid, with the date of the request. The result is not saved. For your own proof, ask the German Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt) yourself.
Create items
- Open Items and choose New item.
- Enter the name, Net price, unit and VAT.
- Choose Save item.
Reuse them in the editor
In the editor, take over a customer with Use a saved customer and a line with Add a saved item. The invoice then appears on the customer's page. On a customer's page, Write a new invoice opens the editor with that customer.
Import from a CSV file
- In the customer or item list, choose Import from a CSV file.
- Save your spreadsheet as "CSV UTF-8". The first row names the columns, for example Name, Straße, PLZ, Ort.
- Choose the file and then Import.
Either every row is saved or none. If a row has an error, the app names its line number and you correct the file.
Names that are already saved are skipped. Write amounts without ambiguity, for example 1234,00.
You can save up to 500 customers, 500 items and 200 drafts.
