Check and read received e-invoices
Upload received XRechnung and ZUGFeRD invoices, check them against the official rules, read them and keep them.
Check an invoice
- Open Received.
- Choose the file, an XML file (XRechnung) or a PDF file (ZUGFeRD), and then Check.
- The app checks the invoice against the official rules. You see whether it is valid and, under Validation result, every finding with its rule.
Readable view
An XRechnung is an XML file that is hard to read without tools. The free page Check an invoice shows it with Readable view as a readable invoice, with sender, lines, amounts and payment details. The file is not kept there.
Self-billed invoices from customers
Some customers issue the invoice for your supply themselves: a self-billed invoice (Gutschrift in German VAT law, § 14(2) UStG, invoice type 389, 261 or 527). Such invoices carry the mark Self-billed – issued by your customer in the list. For you a self-billed invoice is a sales document, not a purchase invoice.
Saved invoices
With App Plus and App Europe, checked invoices are kept in your account:
- Storage: space used of 200 MB and at most 10,000 files.
- Search by sender or invoice number.
- The column Check shows "valid" or "with errors".
- Download and delete. A deleted file is no longer in the app.
With App Free the file is checked and shown, but not kept.
The saved files do not replace your own records. Keep the originals yourself, for example in your bookkeeping. More under Archive and retention.
